Dispense medication and supplies to patients and other Customers.
Provides professional pharmacy services: o Performs patient and medication counselling. o Prepares daily dose pack. o Reviews Medication history profile. o Enrolls patients to patient compliance program. o Performs initial drug interaction review as requested by the patient. o Reports adverse drug reactions.
Performs order taker functions: o Explains to the patients the MEDEXPRESS SERVICES o Creates profile of walk-in patients/Customer in the PharmaPOS and encodes patients’ prescription to update patient/customers medication record and profile. o Recommends generically equivalent products to the patient/Customer when the brand prescribed or requested is unavailable or if the patients request for a cost-effective alternative. o Attend to patient/Customers inquiries and requests regarding medicine.
Maintains Organized filing of prescriptions.
Dispenses and records of prescription of senior citizen and people with disability according to the existing department of health regulations.
Ensure the quality of the drug through correct handling and storage, at all times and at any given circumstances.
Handles patients/customer medicine complaint in proper and polite way.
Checking the prescription and the Drugs/medicine at the counter prior dispensing to ensure the correctness, completeness, and accuracy of the medicine.
Ensures the correctness and completeness of all the Drugs/Medicine that are for Delivery.
Performs reconstitution and compounding of prescriptions when required and maintains the compounding area Clean, Neat and orderly.
Monitors and reports all expiring stocks, (drugs and Medicines) 6 months before the stated date.
Conduct inventory and request a stock to replenish the lacking or out of stocks medicine and drugs.
Maintains the Cleanliness and arranges the medicine and drugs on the shelves according to the prescribe arrangement and area.
Performs cashiering functions in the absence of an order taker or as scheduled by the branch supervisor. o Post all sales transactions in the POS. o During cashier’s cut-off, Conducts reconciliation of Cash on hand against the cash sales in the system. o At the end of the day, process settlement of all credit card and supplier program terminals. o Arrange all transaction documents accordingly and endorse to branch supervisor at the end of the shift.
Verifies and acknowledges the medications returned by patients/customers in accordance with the existing Returned Goods Policy.
Ensures Compliance with all applicable government rules and regulations.
Ensures that the required safekeeping of dangerous drugs mandated by PDEA is implemented properly.
